Watercolor basics III

This is a class designed for intermediate/advanced students wanting to learn how to paint beautiful botanicals. This course will cover different painting styles such as a more spontaneous wet into wet layering method as well as a tighter rendering dry-brush technique employed by early botanical illustrators. Students will practice working from life with simple floral arrangements and also from photo references. Emphasis will be on problem solving, skill building, and helping students develop a personal style. Specific techniques will be addressed to help students make decisions and work through and complete paintings.
